Cone Beam Scanner
Harlem Center for Aesthetic Dentistry is one of few dental offices in the country with a cone beam scanner in our office. The cone beam scanner is the ultimate in diagnostic and surgical planning technology. The cone beam provides a 3D view of each patient's teeth, gums, and jaw. Dr. Robertson uses these images to carefully plan the placement of each dental implant. The cone beam scanner allows Dr. Robertson to place implants in more secure positions where they will have the best support.

Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is a process of augmenting a patient's jaw in preparation for dental implants. When you lose a tooth, that area of your jaw bone naturally begins to atrophy, or shrink. If left untreated, the jaw may no longer be capable of supporting an implant. Dr. Robertson can restore lost bone tissue by surgically placing donor tissue, creating a sufficient base for dental implants.
Sinus Grafting
Some patients' sinuses lay too close to an optimal dental implant placement site in the jaw. Sinus grafting is a process of augmenting the upper jaw to lift the soft tissues of the sinuses, creating ample room for the implant and avoiding any compromise of sinus function. While many practices must refer patients to other specialists for a sinus lift, we provide this procedure in house.
